Our origins date back to 1990 when Dr. Milan Minárik, one of the founders of GPC and HPLC in the former Czechoslovakia, leaves the Academy of Sciences and establishes his company Watrex Praha on 27 August 1990.

From our beginnings as a distributor for Waters and other global brands, we have gradually developed into a leading manufacturer of chromatography products with our own development and production, application laboratory and instrument service. Dr. Minárik has built a strong team of specialists, expanded services and product portfolio, including iconic DeltaChrom™ LC pumps and detectors, Polymer IEX™ and DeltaSil™ C18 phase columns and packing.

In 2012, the new Carolina technology center was opened in Prague 6, which became our headquarters.

Since 2015, the baton has been proudly handed over to the new generation and the current CEO doc. RNDr. Marek Minárik, Ph.D. During the following years, we introduced, for example, a redesigned line of chromatography instruments called Streamline™ or automatic DNA/RNA extractor xTROVERT™ XT.
